The part that confuses me is the order in which everything is mentioned. 23:5 first mentions Pesach (14 'Abyb); 23:6 mentions Matsah (15 'Abyb) and then immediately mentions seven days of unleavened bread (making it look like the 15th is the first miqra' qodesh, not the 14th). 23:7 then moves on to mention the first miqra' qodesh (but does not specifically mention whether this is the 14th or the 15th).
